On May 1, 2026, the defense of the leading organization was held for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) dissertation in Pedagogical Sciences by Umurzakov Utkir Komilovich, an independent researcher at Andijan State University. The dissertation, titled "Improving the Activities of Future Physical Education and Sport Specialists in Enhancing the Activity of Unorganized Youth," was presented under the specialty 13.00.01 – Theory of Pedagogy. History of Pedagogical Doctrines.

Relevance and Necessity of the Dissertation Topic. Amid complex global integration processes, flows threatening youth upbringing are increasing, adopting modern tools and forms. Protecting youth from alien ideas and nurturing well-rounded individuals remain a national priority. There is a critical need to implement vertical system programs integrating higher education institutions and neighborhood (mahalla) institutes to educate unorganized youth.

Research Objective: To develop proposals and recommendations for improving the professional activities of future physical education and sports specialists by boosting the physical activity of unorganized youth in neighborhoods.

Research Tasks:

  • Develop a specialized exercise complex based on volleyball, integrated with standard physical fitness tests, to enhance the physical fitness of unorganized youth in neighborhoods;

  • Create a specialized gamified program for building technical skills when preparing unorganized youth for inter-neighborhood volleyball competitions;

  • Develop an integrated special course on sports and health activities of neighborhood institutes for educating future physical education and sports specialists;

  • Develop a competence-based model to prepare future physical education and sports specialists for professional work with unorganized youth in neighborhoods.

Object of Research: The process of sports and health activities conducted by higher education physical education and sports students with unorganized youth in neighborhoods.

Subject of Research: Tools and methods applied to enhance the activities of future physical education and sports specialists in boosting the engagement of unorganized youth.

Research Methods: Analysis of scientific and methodological literature, theoretical comparative analysis, questionnaires, pedagogical observation, interviews, comparison, pedagogical experiments, and mathematical statistics.

Scientific Novelty: Physical load management for unorganized youth was improved by developing a complex of sports and ecotourism activities along with specialized volleyball-based exercise drills integrated with physical fitness standards (such as "herringbone" running, sand jumps bringing knees to chest, pulling car tires with ropes, and hanging locomotion on vertical ladders).
