🎓 Day 2 of the International Summer School at CSPU Held at a High Academic Level

The second day of the international summer school, organized at Chirchik State Pedagogical University in cooperation with the Leibniz Institute for the German Language (Leibniz-Institut für Deutsche Sprache, IDS, Mannheim, Germany), was successfully conducted in accordance with the programme.

📅 On April 14, 2026, the sessions were primarily devoted to corpus linguistics and empirical approaches.

🎤 In particular, within the course led by Professor Roman Schneider, the following topics were covered:

• fundamentals of corpus linguistics and analysis strategies;
• empirically based descriptions of grammar and orthography;
• modern approaches to analyzing language use in German.

📚 During the practical sessions:

• German song lyrics were analyzed as examples of authentic language use;
• linguistic registers, grammatical structures, and cultural contexts were explored;
• possibilities for applying these findings in German language teaching were discussed.

📊 In the second half of the day, a special information session on research stays at IDS and potential research topics was organized, along with academic consultations for participants.

🎓 The event continues to bring together teachers, master’s students, and undergraduates from various higher education institutions across Uzbekistan, who are actively engaged in the programme.

🤝 The summer school serves as an important platform for exploring modern linguistic research methods and strengthening international academic cooperation.
