๐ The First Day of the International Summer School at CSPU Successfully Completed
Within the framework of cooperation between Chirchik State Pedagogical University and the Leibniz Institute for the German Language (Leibniz-Institut fรผr Deutsche Sprache, IDS, Mannheim, Germany), as well as higher education institutions of Uzbekistan specializing in German studies, the first day of the international summer school was successfully conducted.
๐ On April 13, 2026, according to the programme:
- an introduction to IDS and its research activities was presented;
- IDS research resources (corpora and digital databases) were introduced;
- participants were familiarized with modern opportunities in linguistic research;
- academic discussions with German professors were organized.
๐ค During the day, Professor Stefan Engelberg delivered a lecture entitled
โDas Lexikon aus korpuslinguistischer Perspektive โ Der Wortschatzโ.
๐ In the second half of the day, within the framework of a philological conference, academic discussions were held on multilingualism, language identity, and the relationship between language norms and actual usage.
๐ The event brought together teachers, masterโs students, and undergraduates from various higher education institutions across Uzbekistan, who actively participated in the sessions.
๐ค The summer school represents a practical outcome of the effective cooperation between CSPU and IDS and plays an important role in fostering an international academic environment at the university.
