A meeting was held at Chirchik State Pedagogical University with representatives of the School of Engineering of Tokai University (Japan). The meeting discussed the development of scientific and educational cooperation between the two higher education institutions, the organization of joint projects, and the exchange of experience in innovative areas. 

The delegation from Tokai University consists of:

• Yamamoto Yoshio – Dean of the School of Engineering, Professor of the Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering (Robotics)
• Kinoshita Yuma – Professor of the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies, Department of Information Sciences (Artificial Intelligence)
• Utsuki Tomohiko—Professor of the School of Engineering, Department of Medical Engineering
• Tobe Ryoko—Representative of the Faculty’s International Department
• Yaroslava Gladysheva – Advisor to the Chancellor’s Office (International and Eurasian Affairs) of the School of Engineering

During the meeting, the issues of establishing cooperation between the faculties of engineering of Tokai University and the Department of “Information Technologies and Artificial Intelligence” of the Faculty of Exact Sciences of Chirchik State Pedagogical University in the following promising areas were discussed:

• Introduction of applied artificial intelligence technologies in education,
• Educational robotics and the use of robotic devices in the educational process usage,
• medical simulation technologies,
• joint scientific research and academic exchange programs.

The parties also discussed further plans between the two universities to develop cooperation in these areas based on the signed memorandum of understanding.

As part of the visit, a scientific lecture on the topic “Latest Research Areas in Robotics and Mechatronics at Tokai University” was organized by Professor Yamamoto Yoshio of Tokai University for faculty members, researchers, and students of the Faculty of Exact Sciences.

During the lecture, detailed information was provided on the following innovative research works:

A system for generating navigation and movement decisions for mobile robots - intelligent control algorithms that ensure the independent movement of robots in complex environments.

Drone technologies for identifying people suffering from natural disasters - systems for identifying people and providing rapid assistance using unmanned aerial vehicles used in rescue operations.

Robotic devices for object recognition and separation - technologies for recognizing objects and automatically separating them using robotic systems operating on the basis of artificial intelligence.

Mazkur uchrashuv ikki oliy ta’lim muassasasi o‘rtasida ilmiy hamkorlikni kengaytirish, yangi qo‘shma tadqiqot loyihalarini yo‘lga qo‘yish hamda talabalar va tadqiqotchilar uchun xalqaro ilmiy imkoniyatlarni oshirishga xizmat qilishi ta’kidlandi.
