On May 4, 2026, a seminar dedicated to national ranking indicators was organized at the Faculties of Exact Sciences and Natural Sciences of the University.
The seminar was held in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulation on Maintaining the National Ranking of Higher Education Institutions” approved by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the seminar was to increase the awareness of professors and teachers about ranking indicators, analyze the current situation, and identify priority tasks at the faculty level.
During the event, professors and teachers were provided with explanations regarding criteria related to academic activity, scientific activity, international activity, graduate quality, and digitalization.
At the end of the seminar, the questions raised by the participants were discussed. In particular, special attention was paid to the formalization of academic mobility of professors and teachers, achievement of minimum indicators, and the practical implementation of indicators related to graduate quality and digitalization.
In addition, the Education Quality Assurance Department once again reminded participants about the incentive system for articles indexed in Scopus and citations to them, including h-index indicators. Additional recommendations were also provided to professors and teachers on achieving the University’s target indicators.
We believe that the seminar will contribute to the systematic integration of national ranking indicators into faculty activities, the improvement of scientific performance, and the achievement of the University’s strategic goals.
