Tursunov Ikromjon Gulamjonovich

I.Tursunov was born on August 4, 1969, in Uchkurgon district of the Namangan region, in an intellectual family. He is of Uzbek nationality. From 1986 to 1992, he studied at the Faculty of Physics of Tashkent State University (current the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek).

From 1992 to 1994, he worked as a trainee researcher at the Department of “Physics of Semiconductors and Dielectrics” at the same university. From 1994 to 1997, he was a postgraduate student at this department, and from 1999 to 2001, he studied as a doctoral candidate in the same field. From 2000 to 2018, he worked as an associate professor at the Department of General Physics at the Faculty of Physics of the National University of Uzbekistan. From 2018 to 2019, he served as Acting Head of the Department of Exact Sciences at the Chirchik State Pedagogical Institute of Tashkent region. Since 2020, he has been working as Acting Head of the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Physics and Chemistry of the same institute.

I.G.Tursunov is considered one of the leading scientists in the field of semiconductor and dielectric physics in the country. In particular, in 1998, he defended his candidate's dissertation on the topic “Deformation effects in silicon doped with gold, nickel, and gadolinium”, specializing in 01.04.10 – Physics of Semiconductors and Dielectrics. In 2018, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Phenomena of deformation stimulation in compensated silicon and surface-barrier diode structures based on them”, also in the field of semiconductor physics. In 2008, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As a result of his research, he has authored 6 teaching manuals, 2 monographs, and more than 85 scientific works, including 10 articles published in foreign journals, 20 in national journals, and scientific theses presented at 30 international and 40 national conferences.

I.G.Tursunov is a qualified specialist with skills in applying modern pedagogical methods and tools in organizing lessons and the educational process. This is particularly evident in his lectures and practical sessions on subjects such as “Nanotechnology and Nanophysics”, “General Physics”, and “Experimental Methods in Physics”.
