Open Lecture — Department of Special Pedagogy
Senior Lecturer of the Department of Special Pedagogy, Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogical Sciences (PhD), Ozodakhon Ishmatova, delivered an open lecture on the topic “Classification of Speech Disorders.”
During the open lecture, the classification of speech disorders, the factors contributing to their occurrence, their clinical and pedagogical characteristics, and their significance in speech therapy practice were thoroughly discussed. The topic was presented not only from a theoretical perspective but was also enriched through interactive methods, practical assignments, question-and-answer sessions, and collaborative learning activities.
The use of artificial intelligence helped make the learning process more engaging, modern, and visually appealing. Students actively participated in the lesson, shared their opinions on the topic, and completed practical exercises related to the types of speech disorders and the criteria for their differentiation. During the session, students worked in small groups and deepened their understanding of the topic through presentations, discussions, and creative tasks.
Throughout the lecture, scientific approaches to the classification of speech disorders were explained using slide presentations, and selected cases were analyzed as examples. Students’ questions were answered in detail, and the practical importance of the topic was emphasized. The open lecture was marked by the active participation of the audience, their involvement in group work, and their strong interest in the subject.
At the end of the session, general conclusions were drawn, students’ knowledge was reinforced, and the importance of accurately identifying and classifying speech disorders in future speech therapy practice was highlighted.
