Developing Future Primary School Teachers’ Environmental Competence through STEAM Education and Artificial Intelligence: A Pedagogical Framework

This study aims to enhance the theoretical, methodological, and practical foundations for developing pre-service primary school teachers’ environmental competence through the integration of STEAM education and artificial intelligence technologies. It explores opportunities for interdisciplinary integration of environmental knowledge, collection and analysis of environmental data using AI tools, implementation of virtual laboratory experiments, and development of innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Furthermore, the study focuses on designing a pedagogical model and methodology to strengthen pre-service teachers’ environmental awareness, digital literacy, critical and creative thinking, research skills, and project-design competencies.
